Kris Kristofferson, singer-songwriter and actor, dies at 88​

Kris Kristofferson, a Rhodes scholar who became a superstar songwriter, singer and actor, has died. A family spokeswoman says Kristofferson died at his home in Hawaii on Saturday.

A few months back, I stumbled across this one. A comment was "Gee, Kris seems to know the lyrics well".

Went back to find this one,

IMO, he didn't quite get the recognition he deserved for his range of talents, but was generally well known as a writer.

Most under 50 just assume it's the name of a famous guitar or its maker only, not of a guitar player.

Another interesting bit of trivia, Leo Fender didn't know how to play guitar, when he invented the Telecaster and Stratocaster. I'm not sure if he ever learned later in life, but he was an electrical engineer, not a guitarist.

I saw Les Paul live in NY about 30 years ago. He played a Les Paul Studio.
