A few months back, I stumbled across this one. A comment was "Gee, Kris seems to know the lyrics well".

Went back to find this one,

IMO, he didn't quite get the recognition he deserved for his range of talents, but was generally well known as a writer.

Okay, so he died 15 years ago. But how many have actually seen a Les Paul played by Les Paul?

Les Paul. What a musician! Not sure why I knew of him.
Most under 50 just assume it's the name of a famous guitar or its maker only, not of a guitar player.

Another interesting bit of trivia, Leo Fender didn't know how to play guitar, when he invented the Telecaster and Stratocaster. I'm not sure if he ever learned later in life, but he was an electrical engineer, not a guitarist.

He designed amplifiers. He introduced the guitars to sell more amps.
