John Lodge died. 82!!
Founding and lead member of the Moody Blues
Justin is the only one left from the classic band.

John was the second bass player. Moodies formed in '64; Justin and John joined in '66. They replaced Denny Laine and Clint Warwick. Graham and Denny originally wanted Lodge as bass player, but he declined so he could finish school.

The Moodies are my wifes all time favorite band. Had seen them 10 or 11 times since '93. They always did a consistently great show!

I was so excited to hear that we were going to watch a cowboy movie in a brand new theater AND it was in color.! It was in Omaha, which took about 3 hours to get there in a '55 ford.

So by the time we got there, this little boy was tired but came alive when I saw the marquee. When the movie started, there was some singing. But that was alright, Roy Rodgers and Dale Evens sang some too.

But every time the show got exciting, they ruined it by singing.
I never grew like that movie Oooooklahoma.

We couldn't afford indoor theatres when I was growing up. We went to the outdoor theatres when it was $1 a car load. My folks got their money's worth as there were six of us in that '57 Plymouth station wagon. :ROFLMAO:

Before the movie began, we kids would always head to the front where the swings and playground equipment were. When the lights went out, we'd go to the benches in front or back to the car if it was cold.

I never went to a Drive In movie until I started to drive.
And then I saw few of the movies.;)

I remember a couple of girls I dated in H.S. that said they weren't allowed to go to drive-in movies. :( Not much privacy there anyway.

There was a story in the local newspaper well after my Drive In time.
An amorous couple got carried away in the front seat.
Somehow they got knotted up in the steering wheel.
After the movies ended the fire department had to come out and take the steering wheel off.
There was a picture on the front page of a fireman holding up a blanket trying to protect their modesty.
I still can't figure out how they got that twisted up and believe me, I did some twisting.
