So then, you won't mind then if I do run some shine? /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Anything to aggravate the gubernment.
So, when not very opinionated people go to vote how do they choose who to cast their ballot for or even to buy ice creame--they get one of each?
J, proudly opinionated and biased

I ended up selling the Superbird for 10K back in 1989. I used that money as a downpayment on a 1500 GMC pickup. I was actually selling the 72 roadrunner, and one guy who came ot look at that asked if I had any other Mopars around. So I showed him the Superbird and he ended up buying that. He seemed like he knew what he was doing.

I had ordered a replacement nosecone and some other pieces (headlight buckets, and some brackets) from a man out in California. After about 2 years of waiting and numerous phone calls I never got anything and lost about $1700 that I had paid him!

I had originally paid $6500 for the car. The interior was perfect and the rest of the car was in rather decent shape. I replaced the rusted away exhaust with new mufflers and the correct H-pipe, I put Goodyear Polyglas tires on it, and generally replaced about everything that needed it. Although I'd love to get another Superbird (or Daytona!) someday, I miss the '72 RoadRunner the most. I recently same a listing for a 71 RR with a 440-6. 4-spd, air-grabber in black for $34k. I'm accepting donations/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif! With the birth of our daughter last year, I think I'm going to have to stick with 1:18 diecast models for now.

One of my favorite sites is www.carsinbarns.com. I love the stories (sad as some may be).

Here's another pic.

Why is it that the stories about old cars are almost always sad?

Like "the one that got away"

Like "rusting away in a field"

Like "that one will be easy to find parts for"

Like "the oil light came on and I drove it about two miles after that but now it makes a funny noise."
