Did somebody mentions RoadRunners?!?!?! My favorite car that I had owned was a 72 RoadRunner with a 340 4bbl. I really regret selling that car (over ten years now).

An explanation then Hillbilly. If the cops only got front drive Yugos with 4 bangers then that should be all the better for you shine runners. Soooooooooo if you driving your shine to the co-op in an old souped up picke'm up truck driving it like you stole it from a farmer with a shotgun they--the cops--will not be able to catch you. Oh, what a shame. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

That's a fine looking car, Frank, but I didn't know they ever put the 340 in a RoadRunner. I bought one of the first RoadRunners (1968) with the 383, 4bbl. and a cousin then bought a '69 Dodge Dart with the high performance 340. My wife still says the RoadRunner was her favorite, and I guess it was probably mine, too.

Here's the other RoadRunner I had. It's a 70 Superbird with a 440. It had 24k miles on it and hadn't been registered since 1974 (still had the inspection sticker from then, and the insurance card was in the glovebox.) Unfortunalty, the guy who owned it before me left it to rot outside. The only real damage done was the nosecone (all but rusted gone).

Yes the 340 was available in the 72 RoadRunner. The car was all original except for the paint. It originally was "Gold-Fire Metallic".
