The downward slide of winter

I have a neighbor that I have done their driveway for 6 years now. I have a Kubota 4310 with a Sims cab and heat so at least Im comfortable. Oh and a 6' Luck now snowblower. Well his wife isnt very healthy and in years past Ive seen her out there snowblowing their drive. It only takes about 10 minutes for me to do it. This year he is working out of town so he did ask me to keep the drive clean. He does have a additional 2 car garage that he parks his truck in well I dont shovel that has always been the deal. Hes been working out of town for 6 weeks and comes home every other weekend, well his garage hasnt been used yet. the snow is about 2 feet high in front of the door and I wont shovel it for him . They did take my wife and I out for dinner friday night and they are nice people but he is a little on the lazy side and I am not going to do to much and be expected to do more. I dont think that he has gotten his blowers going this year, did I mention he has 2 blowers !!!!! V

I feel for you all. Down here in Southeast Missouri, I don't have to worry about driveways and snow. I do have a neighbor/friend who re-appropriates my gas can during the mowing season. It gets a little old being that it's me taking it to the gas station. We're supposed to have this deal, I mow the yards (his and mine), he does the trimming. I end up mowing a lot more than the weed eating that gets done.

You can never repay ungratefulness. It's a bitter pill. I know we should all help each other but, when one's doing the helping and the other does the taking it leaves a bad taste.
