Here are some cell phone pics of the new box blade. Video and high-res pics coming soon... For those who haven't heard about it, here's some info: -The one pictured is 96". We are planning to offer it in 78", 90", 108" and 120" widths. -44" depth, 30" tall back. -Front tube is 6x6 3/8" tubing. -Category 2 and 3 Quick Attach compatible hitch. -Hitch and sides are 1/2" thick with an additional 1/2" plate welded on the leading edge for wear resistance. -Mold boards consist of two 3/8" thick plates, back to back. -Cutting edges are 5/8" x 8" viper blades...US made and largest used in the industry. -Shanks are 1" thick x 4" wide and built in-house. Weld on tips made from AR400. -96" model weighs over 2,100 pounds. I'll know definite in a little while when we get it on the scale. -Rated for up to 180hp 4wd tractor or 220hp 2wd. Ted went right to the top of the scale with this box blade. We will offer boxes in between this one and our current offerings in the future. This is more than a box blade....It is designed for clearing, shearing and moving massive amounts of dirt. We are going to put it to use soon and see exactly what we're dealing with. I like the the Cat pin options. Got that in the 96" Bushhog BB. It is only 100 pounds per foot. Yours will stand up to anything the tractor arms will take I expect. Nice.

These box blades are not, oh, I need a box blade. I think I'll get one of these and see how it works kind of thing. This is built to do some serious work and to get it done quick. My only question is, does the crane that you need to raise and lower the rippers come with every purchase.? And where are the eyes to hook the chain to? I think all that one would need is one of those small units that fit at the corner of a truck bed. Just put it at the corner of the box, that should work. :thumbsup:

All kidding aside, It looks like you will have a corner on the market for this size-type of implement. Job well done IMO.

We put it on the scales and it comes in at 2,230 with the pallet.

While I was weighing, I found that the shank weighs 31.5 pounds.



And a normal shank that was nearby weighs 9 pounds.



Quite a difference, huh.

Yeah the Kioti is supposed to be able to pick up something like 2450 on the 3pt, but I sure have never tried anything like that. I am guessing it might squat a bit:laughing:

I think we would likely want to fill our FELs with something as ballast before driving up a hill...
