Wanted everyone to see this, so I didn't add it onto the existing thread...it probably wouldn't get read there or someone would miss it.
Ok, I posted before that I did my part. Well, I received a letter back from Senator Jeff Sessions (R- Alabama) regarding this issue. I'll put it to bed and your minds at ease by what I got back...here's a quote:
"Dear (Podunk):
Thank you for contacting my office regarding the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) proposed firearms regulation.
I sincerely understand your concerns about OSHA's proposed revisions on the handling and transportation of explosives and firearms. The proposed rule in question would have altered the way in which firearms and explosives were stored and transported. As you may be aware, the Labor Department, which has primary jurisdiction over OSHA, recently announced in the Federal Register that it would revise the OSHA explosives rule and propose it again at an undetermined date in the future. The surge of calls and letters asking senators and congressmen to oppose this regulation was undoubtedly a key factor in the Department of Labor's decision to reevaluate its actions. Thank you for everything you did to make your concerns known to me and other members of congress.
You can rest assured I will continue to monitor this situation, keeping your thoughts in mind. Thank you again for writing. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions or comments in the future.

It isn't a bonafide "win", but at least they are rethinking the issue and presumably will make it a little more "user friendly" to all of us who watch for any and all intrusions to our 2nd Amendment rights, no matter how subtle!
