Well it happened. I was sitting in front of the computer today (stuck home because of weather) when my neighbor called and asked if I had my loader on. I said it could be in a couple of minutes. It has been raining all morning here in NW Missouri and water and slush were running everywhere. It seems as my neighbors drain tile had frozen out at the ditch and water was backing up into his finished basement,(gutters were plumbed into the tiles also). The snow in the ditch was pretty deep and he wasn't having much luck getting to the drain. Well I mounted the trusty New Holland and off we went. After clearing the snow and slush from the ditch we proceeded to find the tile. The ground was frozen solid and was impurvious to the loader. To make a long story short, I rolled the bucket all the way over until the cutting edge was headed backwards and proceeded to scrape the surface a little at a time. Five minutes later we uncovered the tile and poked a hole in it and it spewed like a fountain. Well needless to say my neighbor was glad I had that tractor and it sure felt good helping a neighbor in need. Shoot I didn't even notice the rain. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Hey Cliff,I also live in N.W. Mo. Chillicothe to be exact.Yes, it was a crap day for sure.I keep reading about these poor people that have had over 100" of snow so far this season, and feel very lucky.Things could be a whole lot worse.

Hey there,

Just to the west and north of ya in Bethany. How's things in Chillicothe? Man I am ready for Spring but I am sure having fun pushing snow. Hey, wouldn't a 100 inches be fun. Get in a lot of loader practice just piling the stuff up!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thomas,

I rested well, don't know about the neighbor, saw a carpet cleaning crew leaving his house late afternoon. We got a couple more inches of snow last night. Made the rounds again this morning cleaning out all the neighbors drives. If I didn't enjoy it so much I might have to charge them! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
