I used to pay my bills with cash, too, as I worked downtown and the utilities had offices downtown. I'd take a walk, pay my bills and get some lunch. However, gas company, phone company, and electric company no longer allow bill paying at their offices. Only the water works. And since we moved out of town, we have well water, so I couldn't pay my bills in person if I wanted to. Now that I think of it, we send checks to gas, phone and electric, so that's 3 per month. Cell bill is by card. Credit card is tied to our checking account, so no payments there. Taxes twice per year are check. Car loan is by check. So we're up to 4 per month. Can't think of anything else. 50 per year, and I'm sure my wife writes checks to the church and school so more than I thought until I thought some more!
