With all you have going on, how do you find time to go anywhere?
You have to make some time, or your family will suffer.
That baseball game was a chance to spend 5 fun hours with my son and his girlfriend.

Summer is definitely over. It was 95* 3 weeks ago. Now it’s 59*

More raking & baling today. Nice weather here for 3-4 days.

Check out this Red Tail Hawk scooping up a snake. Happened while I was raking.

I must have connected & disconnected rake 100 times this year. Wheel rake is nice in that theres no PTO shaft.

We never put windows in our bales. If you leave them open the bales get wet on the inside when it rains.

Is it difficult to get it to dry this time of year? I never had much luck this late in the season.

You can, yes, but the window of time is now 1-5PM (in ideal weather conditions) so that’s not a lot of time to rake & bale 65 acres like this.
Today was mostly sunny & 80*, so I went like hell yesterday & today.

I did about 30 bales each 5 hour day. With large equipment, you can really move fast IF everything operates correctly
Before baling, I truck a load of bales to a customer.
After baling, I stack bales, or move equipment to the next field.

Nothing beats looking at long windrows when you're running ahead of the time curve.

Those are almost a mile long. They go over 3 hills and 2 valleys.
