Didn't you have a Case tractor on the Krone before?
Yeah, at one time that was a great tractor. I bought it for $40,000 which is dirt cheap, but it was pretty much shot when I bought it. I got 3 years out of it and sold it for $47,000 so I was real happy with that.
The Challenger is much nicer.

Get that second rear mower for next season and you'll be all set. Those triples sure do cover some acres in a day.

My chance came & went. To make a triple, you have to add the double mower all at once. It’s one unit. Its also real expensive.
I am forever going to be using the double mower, unless I sell the whole thing and start over.

Here’s a field I cut I call “The Big Tuna”. It is pretty large-probably 85 acres.

The extra mowing capacity from the Pottinger 302 has been great. I hope to finish this one in less than 10 hours.

Nothing like a peaceful walk back to the truck on a quiet country road.

Hay Dude, I really enjoy your pictures and updates. Do you ever stick your thumb out and hitch a ride ?

Yes! I enjoy hitch hiking as an alternative to calling around asking for rides.
95% of the time I walk.

Finishing up the backside of the Big Tuna. About 40 acres.

One more 15-20 acre patch to go. It’s 7:30 and I’ve been at it for 12 hours. I mowed 60 acres today.

Here’s a tree I cut up and moved off the field back in March.

How do you deal with sitting for that long? If I'm in my tractor for just a few hours, I can barely walk when I try to get out of it.

If I'm on the tractor for a few hours, no problem. It's if I sit at the table for too long I can't walk very well when I'm finally able to stand up.
