Like Junkman says, definitely the dealer know what was wrong (and that it was no fault of yours) - they might actually send you a replacement part for the bent linkage.

When I got my new tractor and brought it home whoever did the setup on the MMM at the dealer apparently failed to fully bend the cotterkey that held the right rear MMM linkage on the 3PH - and the clevis came off and allowed the linkage to drop. Neither myself or the guy who helped me trailer the tractor home noticed this before we went to back the tractor off the trailer - the result was the linkage bent almost 90 degrees. I was able to straighten it out to where it was usable but when I let the dealer know about it, he concurred with my assessment of what had happened and was profusely apologetic .... and sent me a new linkage.

Last follow-up: I called the dealer, talked to the warranty service lady, and left a message for the salesman that all was OK but that I'd had a small problem. Within a couple of hours, the owner of the dealership (and four others in north Texas) called me and apologized personally and to make sure everything was good. He was quick to suggest that whoever in his service department installed the FEL did a poor job. I have a feeling someone will be hearing more about it soon.
No offer of a replacement rod, but I don't really need one. I was impressed that the owner would call me and accept responsibility for his service department though.

Seat time tomorrow!
