That's a big ol' hornet's nest on the ground! I didn't get stung when I bush hogged within inches of that sucker. I did get it when I went to battle.... Only one sting and I tossed a 5 gallon jug of gas with about 1.5 gallons in the can 10-15' that wiped out the nest. FYI, I threw the can when the hornet stung me and it was pure luck it landed beside the nest upside down and the gas came out the vent hole to kill the beasts within.

This is another time when you want to be lucky and not good when it comes to throwing gas cans. I am glad you made it out on your own.

Yikes! That looks like an area better left for hogging in the winter time. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I had to clean it up since I deer hunt right there and couldn't see the deer in that stuff.

Ahhh, I see and understand. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I was mowing trails to deer stands with a DR field/brush mower the summer before last and mowed over a yellow jacket nest. After that experience, if I don't get it done in early spring it don't get done. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
