Artisan,
I brought one a couple of weeks ago with video capability in order to see portions or our land too thick to walk through. Also to just look around.
Still learning how to use it, but really nice. Too windy to effectively use it at height. They are fun!
We got the Syma Blackhawk helicopter for our grandson for Christmas. He also got an AirHog. The AirHog was about $70 and it is a handfull to operate. The Syma is extremely easy to operate. If you go to Amazon.com and put in RC Helicopter in their search box, you'll see all of Syma's line of copters. Read the reviews to find out which is best. GREAT FUN! Amazon also carries repair parts if you ever need them. I highly recommend the Syma.
BlueRiver,
I brought the LT-712 with gyro and camera via Amazon. It is a great little helicopter which I paid about $76 and it arrived in good time and shape.
It is a starter and is allowing me to learn. It is fun and I am 64.
We have 112 acres and there are times I simply can not see. Plus there are times I would like not to be seen as when a bear is around. Then there are ATVs.
This is good for checking out the higher trees as the wife will not let me climb. I have a camcam video device that I can put the memory stick in for viewing at the land or I take the stick home and view on the computer.
This also allows me to do things like checking out our two story plus home roof without climbing. Wind does effect it.
