Thought I'd post a pic from last year of my daughter riding the "mule". She, as well as the horse, gets upset with me when I call him that. I can't complain, he's a pleasure to be around and as docile as they come. He will be 27 this spring but can still run like a 2 year old when he hears the feed bucket getting filled.

I swear I have the sister to that horse. My mare is about 16 yo now and is an identical match to yours. I'd say you got a good team going on there too. The younger the kid the older the horse is a golden rule.
