The new 2014 LS J2023H

No such model as a J2027. As a way to keep from having to adopt Tier 4 standards, LS combined the previous 2020 and 2030 models. The result is the J2023 which stays under Tier 4 power requirements while giving more loader capacity and two hydro pumps for a larger GPM flow. It also has dual hydro pedals.

Olympus,

I spoke at length with my LS dealer this weekend. I was told that at present, there isn't a J2027H tractor here in the US. The company wants to make sure all the J2020 & J2030's are sold first.

After that, the new J2027H will be allowed to be imported to the US. It will indeed have the dual hydraulic pedal system and more than likely the newer, upgraded hydraulic pump.

That's the best info I can get for now.

I do have a plant trip (Battleboro, NC) planned for April 17, and I've been told I am allowed to take my camera. If so, I'll be shooting as many photos of the plant as I can get.

Sounds like they may have confused the model number. Sound like what you're describing is the J2023, but I could be wrong.

Nope. He had two new J2023H's on the lot already sold. He's moving the LS tractors faster than the other two dealers in town combined. He makes regular trips to the factory to pick up fresh, new tractors.

He's pretty much in the know. He's helped develop new remote hydraulics for the G3033 series of tractors too.

If that's the case, then the price point will be higher than the J2023 since a 27hp motor will be subject to Tier IV standards while the 2023 is not.

I would think so. Especially since this is a newer tractor fresh off the assembly line. I really like the looks of the J series tractors. If they had more clearance and I knew they could pull a plow, I'd have no reservations about putting my money down on one ASAP. However, that pond issue and tilling that clay soil kind of dictates other avenues of tractor selection.

I would say you need more weight and not necessarily ground clearance. Weight is going to help with traction.

That would definitely help. But when cultivating corn, you do want ground clearance so you don't snap the young corn off. That is, up to a point in cultivating. After a certain point, you let it grow and don't mess with it.

I just talked to my territory rep today about the new J series tractor. They are going to have a 25 hp J only. From what he is saying they will have the new 25hp J available in April or May. He said it will be a redesigned model with the dual pedal hyd system. The way he talked this new model will be pretty impressive. Got a bunch more info on some more changes they are making and i have a feeling 2014 will be a great year with LS.

That is going to get interesting. Sounds like there is a bit of conflicting information going around - but what the heck are rumors anyway?

The dual pedal setup is going to be a real winner for LS. I know a fair amount of people who do not like the treadle style hydros on many makes of tractors. I'm betting LS will be a tractor company to watch out for.

I agree with you 100%. I also herd they were talking about a gear drive J but i asked him about it and he didnt say anything. So who knows it would be kind of nice to have a gear drive J. The deal pedal is a huge improvement. The new XR models are going to have a big change as far as an attachment that i just found out about also. I have in my dealer manual the option of a front mount rotary broom for the XR3037 also. They are deff pulling out all the stops on the new models. LS is going to be growing a lot this year and i cannot wait. :cool2:
