The New F150

Sendero, well said ! I have nothing bad to say about them. I just dont like them or maybe its that I dont like the idea, either way I think you got it right. we all like what we like and thats it. There is no way I could justify the "need" for a 345 hp Hemi to cart my wife back and forth a whopping 15 miles a day to work. Other than she likes it and that makes me happy happy. I did see on the truck trend web site that Nissan is comeing out with a full size truck. Dont those people make thermos bottles ??? lol, sorry I just couldn't resist /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Bob, Now about those Walleyes !!! man am I hungry. The lake Huron count is down to 6 each per person so it has been hard the last two years to justify the cost of going out for a day. It used to be 10 so the cost if a charter was some what justified by filling the freezer. But I doudt they taste as good as the ones you guys have. I can smell that camp fire already. Dave

I didn't scour the list...don't know for sure. Doc says it is and I believe him. I just wanted to share a resource.

( what if, just for speculation, that Toyota bought Ford )

Well, Toyota would have a decent truck then /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I couldn't pass that up. I really don't care what everyone drives. I don't make their payments so it doesn't matter. Trucks are trucks. Just like tractors we buy what we like and what works best for our uses. I think that should be all that matters. Have fun.

In 2005, Honda will debut their full-size truck. Currently the speculation is that it will be body on frame like the rest of the full-sizes or possible a unibody based upon the Honda Odessy. A unibody truck may not be able to tow 10,000 lbs, but it will certainly carry two bags of fertilizer and have car like performance.

Honda makes nice bikes. Never tried any of their other vehicles though. Would be strange to see a Honda truck but stranger things have happened. Do you have any pics of it yet or is it still on the drawing board as this is the first I have heard of it. Always interested in learning about a new truck.

"Sorry but on my F-350"

I guess you did not notice the F350 is not the type of trucks being talked about. Yes, it is probably mostly American made, for now, could care less, don't need a work truck, thanks anyway /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. J

"Is Doc's truck 100% American parts and labor? "

Is everyone working in the Ford factory where ever it is that makes the F350 a US citizen? Does everyone on this board claim they are native Americans as in they have no roots elsewhere, in that case none of us are native, including Native Americans. Do the steel ores that make the steel come from the US, the copper in the wires, the cloths and leathers in the seats, the electronics are totally made in the US and all materials are US made, US derived and US assembled, designed, and produced only by US born citizens? I really doubt it, OK, so cowboy, I went there, now what /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.

Quick answer, No, but he likes to think so. If it makes him feel good why upset his apple cart /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. J

Don't care much for that front bumper but overall the truck is unlike anything else on the market. Nice to see companies try to make somethind different instead of imitating another companies truck. Thanks for posting the picture.

Ford is American made. This was in point of fact a strand about American trucks. All the Ford Trucks I have owned have been assembled in either Dearborn or Pontiac. The same is True for my GMC Duramax. I am darn proud that it has a sticker on the door that says PROUDLY ASSEMBLED IN PONTIAC /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I believe in supporting my neighbors as they support me. YES I believe that ALL employees that actually work for Ford are legal US citizens or those with Legal work visas. Either way it is a US corporation with their corporate offices in Dearborn and not Tokeyo. Its time we all started supporting our neighbors just a little bit more. So I'm with any one that buys FORD on this one. If some thing else is right for you thats A OK with me. I will do the same in my good old made IN USA truck. The apples I haul in mine are grown in the USA as well. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Dave
