The new Grapple has arrived..

After much research I decided to purchase the 72 inch MTL model HD RK-3 grapple for the tree work around our property weight is 678 lbs.Dealer Installing the 3 function remote on my tractor in a few weeks

Looks very nice, but 678 lbs. seems like a lot of lost lifting capacity for a 3900 lb. 40HP tactor.
What is your loader capacity?

Close to 2761 lbs.I have loaded tires plus wheel weights for lifting capacity.

Good job on getting the smaller tine spacing. While I like my Granite Grapple, I lose quite a bit through the tines.

A good bit of that extra weight is due to the closer 3" tine spacing. Thing should be a beast.

Originally was looking at 8 inch spacing between tines glad I went 3 inch.

VERY nice HD grapple. Man - you do have a mess to clean up. The extra weight will be appreciated. You will be able to really get after things and not worry about the grapple crumpling up.

My grapple - Land Pride SGC1560 weighs 820#. On my Kubota M6040 I can still lift 3000+#. My really heavy loads - 2800+ pounds - are only ever lifted just high enough so I can move them. NEVER more than 6" off the ground - knuckle dragging.

Nobody runs around with a heavy load lifted to full height. Keep it low and away you go. Look at your weight lift graphs for your FEL if you want the correct answers.
