May have a little more power but still isn't enough to make it a good choice imo. Get enough tractor to make some improvements to your property.

If you used it for a dedicated loader tractor only and bought a second, used tractor with more hp for the pto work, that would be a good setup. I think 17.4 hp in that frame size would be a poor "do it all" tractor.

I'm not an economy tractor fan, but that price point seems like a lot of machine for the money. I guess it largely depends upon your budget. I typically pay more to get more but sometimes enough is... enough.

That's exactly what I'm going for here: enough.
I'm under no illusion that this machine will be able to do absolutely everything I want it to, but I'm aiming for the 80-20 rule here: If I can get it to do 80% (more like 90%) of what I'm looking for without breaking the bank, that's a win in my book.
I'm perfectly happy to (and expecting to, frankly) rent a larger/different machine from the equipment rental place in the next town over for the bigger task every now and then that this machine can't handle.

Have you looked at the Kubota L2501 -- you said the dealer was Kubota and Deere, correct? Seems like it would be a good comparison. The L is a bit heavier/stouter than the Deere.

I'm going to get a revised quote either today or Monday including a rear remote, then place the order this week.
Nah, with the current deals JD is offering, the 3025E, with R4s, FEL and bucket came to a total of $16,999 (before tax)... which is about $4,000 cheaper than the L2501!

The only question I have about the 3025E is its die cast ALUMINUM transmission case...I really don't know how it will hold up vs a Cast Iron transmission case on the R series

I believe the R series is aluminum too. At least mine is not magnetic.
I have no concerns about it holding up at all. Plenty of steel around it too.

Haven't checked but I think all the compacts below the 4xxx series use aluminum transmission case. Not an issue imo, as long as properly designed and engineered. Aluminum is quite a plentiful resource too.
