The Old Mill Pond Project started roughly 9 years ago. The falls have been silent
for about two years now and I finally started a re-construction of the lowest water-
fall about six weeks ago. Muskrats inhabit along and undermine the shoreline. I
had to dump about seven bags of small rock in the muskrat tunnels to bring the
lower end of the falls back up to even. Then rebuild the entire lower falls. Then
on to refurbishing the Mill House/General Store with fresh stain, and detailing with
new railings, stairs, signs. Believe it or not this whole project started as a shelter
for a sprinkler pump.
