Well, news just broke. ABC is altering the series. Apparently they have been bombarded by letters from so many folks that are taking talking points when issued. It remains to be seen if it will even be shown. If it is changed to appease those folks that don't like it, then I'm no longer interested in it. You are on your own to figure out who is putting the intense pressure on ABC to change or completely withdraw its showing. I never believed Michael Moores movies as anything but an agenda but always felt he had the right to show his work, right or wrong.

This movie would have been little more than a mediocre mini-series but with all the headlines it will become bigger than ever but even this will be old news in a week or so.

It's amazing that they will stand up and denounce the airing of this movie, but they all are silent about the airing of a movie depicting President Bush being assasinated.

The whole lot in Washington makes me sick. I wish they'd quit being politicians and start acting like Americans. The level of politics now being played in Washington is a disgrace.

I'm not so sure your right. No one I have talked to has read the 9/11 report. This is a dramatization of the 9/11 commisions report. It may help us get a better understanding of where our federal bureaucracy falls short.

It might be partly that the average federal worker makes over $106K in total compensation, twice the $53K in wages and benefits for the typical private sector worker. Yet the number of "non-defense" federal employee's being fired is less that 1 out of every 5000 employees. I don't mean to ruffle anyone's feathers, but those are the facts. There's no accountability to the taxpayer.

That probably would not fit in a mini-series, thus my expectation would be that a mini-series would point out the few places that the federal bureaucracy actually worked ... 'course maybe that's what you meant

Sure it is, its not a documentary as it admits right up front. A drama can be based on fact, fiction or both. In this case, from what I have read and what some of those who where in the Clinton administration and the Bush administration have given their guidance as to the accuracy. Even within a given administration, there are bound to be inconsistencies. I don't view this as a partisan effort, I don't care anymore about partisanship. I want what is going to make this country better for me, you, posterity and most importantly, my 5 year old son.

I would take this more seriously as truth if not "based on truth" as has been the case for quite some time. I'm suprised the Madeline Albright and the Clintons are flipping out over this. Maybe it will be revealed that Monica Lewinsky was working under cover for Al Jazerra. No movie has ever brought the real truth to light that I can recall.
