This may sound weird to some of you veterns, but I have lost 2 of those "hair pin" type fastners on my new Kubota L3400. Not from the same place and of different sizes. The first one was the seat hinge, next the one that holds the storage leg in place for the FEL, all within the first 15 hours. I know most folks just carry extra, but is there some better than others.

A easy and cheap fix's is baling wire or you can tack weld a heavier piece of wire to your equipment which you would loop around your pins.

If you are talking about small cotter pins I have found a much better solution. On sailboat rigging we use a clip that is round kind of like a circle with a C in the middle. We call them "ring dings". I think the technical term is cotter rings. They stay on really well and are easy to remove without tools if necessary. You can buy them at marine stores. I wish I had a picture to show you.

In place of hair pins, i like to use keychain rings... many different sizes available.. can be taken off with yuor fingernail as a tool, and virtually impossible to be snatched off.

Very similar to the cotter rings and they do work very well

I think you are refering to a hitch pin clip. They are just something for the brush to rip off. Sometimes you can replace them with cotter rings, sometimes you can't.

Yep, that's the hair pin clip on the end. I thought about cotter pins but that would require pliers to undo. :(
