Too bad for over half of the cars on the road. Their aluminum wheels are going to dissolve when exposed to road salt! There will be car crashes all over the place when the aluminum wheels dissolve underneath them as they drive on salted roads! Good grief.

A little corrosion (like rust on steel) is a whole lot different than "dissolving"

All this talk about aluminum wheels corroding from salt is funny...my opinion is that the disc brake dust that builds up on the inside of the wheel is a LOT more corrosive than salt.
