Robert Clary, best known as LeBeau on Hogan's Heroes, died today.
He was 96 and, ironically, a holocaust survivor.

Coincidentally, I recently learned that LeBeau was a holocaust survivor and a while before that, that all or most of the Germans on the show were played by Jewish actors.

Browning was born in Casper Wyoming. I had the opportunity to met Pete Rose in 2013 and he brought up Browning. Said he was an outstanding pitcher.

Charlie Watt's wife passed away. She was 84 and they were married for over 50 years.

Charlie and Shirley were interesting. I think she was responsible for keeping Charlie out of trouble with drinking. I was lucky to meet he and Ronnie Woods at a hotel they were staying at for a while. One time Charlie was being interviewed and was asked what he had not done and would like to do.

He replied - I would really like to learn to play the drums. Confused, the person interviewing him said - I don't understand. He replied - there are so many young people that can do almost anything on the drums that I never learned. Very humble.
