I remember seeing a few old re-runs of the show as a kid in the 1970's, but it was already dated and cliche at that point, so never really watched it.

I remember Tommy Rettig as the boy in the first versions of Lassie but I never got into it. The shows were too suspenseful and scary for me as a little kid. Maybe I'm the only one that thought that but that's why I never watched it.

Same... and the show had been off the air 20 years, at that point!

I think the Lassie movies had more of an impact on my generation, than the original TV show ever did.

Eddie Haskell on Leave it to Beaver. Ken Osmund as I remember. Tony Dow (Wally's) friend. He later became an L.A. cop I believe.
Trivia: "TV" Tommy Ivo was a guest on the show and famous drag racer back then.
