Not knowing where you are, considering all of the price increases. It sounds like a really good deal to me. I paid just a little less (about $500) last year, but like I said that was before the price increases and don't know what territory you are in. Go for it!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

With loader and MMM sounds like a deal to me, depending on Hydro/gear and tires.

Since you said you be mostly doing finish mowing around a bunch of obsticle I'd be looking at a Zero Turn mower. Had a chance to drive a new new Gravely and it was impressive. You could just rent a tractor to do some of the big stuff. Need to look at the big picture and see if you really need a tractor.

OK, all, I think I've talked myself into going ahead and taking the leap (even though DC is trying to talk me into a ZT mower - I've got way too many "other things" I could use a tractor for; ZT's only mow grass, thats it!)...TC24DA hystat/industrial tires, 914A MMM (rear-discharge), 12LA FEL (54" bucket).

For those of you who commented on my price question...I'm located in Illinois. After extensive research, I got a quote from Corriher's in NC (a dealer I see many on tractorbynet are familiar with), for $16,650 out the door (and no sales tax, since I'm delivering back to IL /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif). I have to travel 750 miles (each way) to pick it up or pay an extra $900 for shipping, but it's still a better deal than I can get anywhere here in the midwest, and since I've got a 7700 lb tandem flat trailer, I think that's going to be the plan. I've tried Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Indiana...all were between $17,400 and $18,300 give or take a few bucks. I even tried Texas, around the Houston area, thinking that perhaps a port city would be cheaper, no dice /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'll post pics as soon as she's home /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks JayC, I'm looking forward to getting her home. I only wish I lived closer to NC, but I guess it's only 12 hours each way, could be worse, right?!

Just look at it as a chance to get out and see the USA...

I'm still new car shopping, and one of the models I'm considering is $2000 less at a dealer in Alabama. I can't get any dealer in this area to match their price. One way plane tickets are less than $100, and I've never been there before... It could be a fun road trip!

AndyM, slightly off topic, but I've bought 2 cars from New York and had them shipped to me, in both cases, even with shipping, the prices were better somewhere else than what I could find locally.

So when do you hop on that flight?

Since you 2 changed the subject /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif, I'll change it back. What do you think of that price? Good, OK, ...?

Bob, you're right, the internet is a great tool to do research, and possibly buy lower from out of state.

I think car (or tractor) buying experiences would make for a great thread, so I'm going to continue this discussion over in the Related Topics forum... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
