Great Job! You must have the greatest and most expensive lawn tractor ever. Let us know if the top heavy bothers you when you use it more. Will the cab come off in the spring?;)

Don't know about the greatest, but the expense part may be true.I overkilled the sheet steel using 12 guage. That's what makes it so heavy.Guess it won't be rusting through any time soon:)

I'm getting used to the higher CG and it's not too bad.The first time I had it out I was turning thru a dip where the alley meets the street and said"Whoah-****!" That was my warning call,so now I'm on my toes and watch the speed and everything around me.

Definitely will come off for mowing season.Door lifts off,all other panels are 10/24 tapped bolts, remove roof, center section removes with four 5/16 tapped bolts, the front windshield and backlite are framed in with 10/24 bolts, then the two side frame sections unbolt from the tractor. When I take it apart I'm going to weigh everything to see what it really weighs.I know I haven't had any traction issues:)

I also built my own cab. It's a very rewarding experience. Your cab looks fantastic by the way. I can imagine it was difficult to design a cab like that on your size of tractor. You can add weight on your 3PT hitch to keep your wheels planted on the ground. 300 to 400 lbs. back there will work miracles to return your stability.;)

Working on the alternator project to keep the batts on the back charged up.This is the drive setup using an OEM deck input shaft,a couple 20mm bearings, and a pulley with the hub bored out to 26mm to fit the larger part of the shaft.Hopefully, two setscrews will hold it as the shaft was too hard to cut a keyway. They did get two dimples in the shaft where the setscrews hit it though.

Great job Locknut and DEON. There are some really talented fabricators on this site. I'm sure there are many more like me that are jealous of your skills and creativity.

Locknut, I must say, that it looked a lot more like gulping than sipping your cappuccino!

Curious about the joystick? is that for a snowblower? is it electric and where did you get it?

That is a work of art! Thanks for the pics. BTW where did you get the splined shaft that fits a kubota?
