I guess I'm getting obsessive about diesels now. I work around them all day, and my 2210 was my second Deere diesel.
I now found myself on a mission for another diesel. I didn't need another truck, so......
Here's a photo of my '03 2210 next to my new '04 Jetta TDI (diesel).
Am I going diesel crazy?

You got me beat by one. I have a 2003 tdi and a 1995 f350 dually.

Oh that is funny - Nice truck - Good Looking son... I guess you really love the sound of that diesel clatter. I was checking out a Passat TDi last week - I wonder if the engine has enough beans to move a car that size? My neighbor's TDI Jetta seems pretty snappy.

Take Care,

If you want a little more poke from that TDI, check out the Van Aaken programmer...20-30 more HP and even more torque. I have a couple of buds with the TDI motor and they are fanatics. Diesel Rules! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks great!
I was all set for a new Golf or Jetta TDI, until I found out they were going $2000 above MSRP. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Now I'm looking at a new Taurus for $12,990. It's not what I really want, but the $7000 in savings will buy a lot a fuel to make up for the lower fuel economy. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Maybe the diesel supply will go back up before I'm ready to buy and the price will come back down a little? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That simple rule of economics is a real problem at times ! Maybe the tide will soon turn, so you can buy at the price you would have paid 6 months ago.
