Don't worry...we've all been there. Last fall I backed my backhoe through a 4x6 window because I forgot I left it extended after washing the tractor off /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

I remember having a lawn mower throw a stone into the door skin of my brand new '75 TBird. Major dent. It cost several hundred to have it fixed and it never did look right. Never forgave myself for that but at least it was to my own car. Even though my kids are in their 30s, they still don't go near my Benzs.

My dad did sorta the reverse. Our old Ford 800 had an FEL mounted on it. I had brought mom a bucket load of black woods dirt for her flower beds. As she wanted to use it at various places, she wanted it left in the 'wheel barrow'. So I parked the tractor in the driveway well away from any vehicles, etc. about 10' from the back door. Dad comes out that door, walks right past the tractor to his truck in the garage. He backs out just like always. Problem is he usually stops about 2' the wrong way of the back of the tractor. Speared the tail gate with the 3ph arm, busted the tail light lens with the tractor fender. He was not happy, the tractor wasn't phased, and I hid. Fortunately he was only mad with himself, not me. Of course, mom standing there shaking her head may have assisted with that frame of mind.
The other difference was that this was an F250 used as a farm truck, not a Benz. OUCH. Except for the lens, the F250 was never fixed. I presume the same can not be said of the Benz. That same F250 also taught 2 boys how to drive. Both my brother and I left our own war wounds, but none quite as noticeable as Dad's.
