Been a busy few days. Have roof problems and this is not the time of year in OR to have them. Still not sure how that will effect the purchase.
Mahindra-TYM, he had only less than 30 hp Mahindras, the ones he did have looked great. Okay, we did take a look at the TYM tractors, he didn't have one there that had the loader on it so we could not drive the 33 hp one with a loader, just without. I wanted in some ways not to like it as much as I did. Yes, I know that does not sound right but over all I really liked it. Nice handling, like the pedals on the HST one and thought it was pretty well put together. The loader and three point seem to have smaller numbers that the 4310 Deere, but not too bad. So, the problem is??
I am gone about 18 or so days of the month, home right now with a damaged shoulder/neck that is getting better, so I have lots of time to look at tractors but unable to do any real physical work. But, as B pointed out, "If you are gone so much time I want a dealer that will help when I need help, and I don't mean in a few days!" Good point as far as I am concerned. So, the dealer is becoming a critical factor and the TYM-Mahindra dealer is small, maybe only one person in his back yard. Also, everyone else so far is closer, two Deere dealers, one each Case, M-F and N-H.
We have a firm price on a 4310 from one dealer, $21495 for a hydro, 430 loader, heavy duty bucket, MX-5 cutter and I-match, spent about an hour at that dealer, about 40 minutes north of us. TYM 330 HST with TL 200 loader $17440 so we need to add a medium duty cutter to that number and we had the price on the MF 1433 posted on the M-F group, found it MF1433, loaded HST with MF-1466 loader $18590, so need about $1200 added for a medium duty cutter. Did like it and I don't want to make too much about my leg, I mean, like I fly for a living, but it was a comfort thing!
No firm numbers yet from the Case dealer but he says the 33 hp HST's are in short supply and the price is high! N-H said about $19000 for the tractor or sooooo.
The 4710s at the other Deere dealer, about 45 minutes west of us, are reversers and $21000 and $22000 with loaders. They also have a 4600 with less than 200 hours, never sold for $18000 HST plus $3800 with the curved arm loader. Warranty? Who knows?
Right now might look at the 4X20s and plan on buying the first week of Nov. or so. Did like the TYM and I am sorry we really were not able to look at a Mahindra in our planned size. Might take a look at Kubota, the dealer down in Silverton had a used one in great shape might check that out.
Thanks for the comments. Man, this is hard but with moments of fun! Or am I as crazy as my wife thinks?
