The walnuts have shed their nuts and leaves, now the maples are also changing colors

One of my neighbors made the comment that they hadn't seen any acorns this year. I hadn't noticed before that, but no, I don't either.

I'm in Northern NY;we have a bumper crop of white oak acorns this year,one large one in my yard hasn't had nuts for five years and it's loaded.Apple also have done well;all surprising with the very dry summer we had.
