OK guys, this was in the news yesterday. It's in a town about ten miles West of me. The really amazing part is it's all true.
LINDALE – Two persons are in custody and more arrests could be made in connection with a bizarre theft case in Lindale. According to Pct 5 Constable Dennis Taylor, a brick home on U.S. Highway 69 was removed a portion at a time in broad daylight. Arrested were Brandon Palmer and Darrell Maxfield. According to Taylor, the men are possibly part of a 6 person crew, who took down the house and sold the parts for cash and narcotics. Taylor says the house was situated near the construction of new Wall-Mart and Lowe's stores. Taylor, like many other officials and residents assumed the men performing the demolition were part of a crew working for one or more of the companies putting up the massive projects. But, last week, the owner of the property drove in from Dallas to survey it and found the home gone. Taylor says the owner planned to salvage the home themselves in order to build a strip mall.
