All of the engine parts and replacement engines are all available for this tractor. This engine is still fully supported.

Hope this helps
Just as I thought.
Thanks.

Just went through a hydraulic hard-line replacement for my 2011 (new in 2012) Bobcat CT230. The line cracked at the fillet-weld on the connector to the loader joystick valve assembly. Having the corresponding Kioti parts diagram, I was able to describe the bad line, over the phone, to my Bobcat dealer, and they were able to have the in-stock part drop-shipped from the Bobcat warehouse. The replacement part had been quite obviously redesigned to prevent the failure that occurred.

They may not sell that tractor anymore, but they had the part and were able to get the replacement to me with reasonable speed (UPS ground, my choice).

OP may have been dealing with a former Bobcat dealer who is no longer affiliated. If they are still a dealer, a complaint letter to Bobcat would be in order.

From what I can tell, he is more interested in Bobcat sticking their tractors up their **** orifice. Hence the title of this thread. He doesn't seem to be terribly interested in a solution to the problem of repairing his tractor, or if he is, he hasn't mentioned his course of action to us here. Getting all "pixxed off "is fine for about 30 minutes, but in the end it doesn't solve anything. AND far better "pixxed off" than "pixxed on". :)

2009 CT335 with 293 hours and I have a dead cylinder. Hardly any compression. Took it to the Bobcat dealer in Kalispell where they sat on it for two months then called and told us to come and get it since they couldn't fix it. Parts no longer available. Unable to diagnose problem except to say it will probably need a new engine but they are no longer made. Sorry chump, then handed me a bill for $2,000 which included 3 new fuel injectors that didn't help. Not 20 feet away they have new 2019 Bobcat tractors sitting on their lot. And they expect to sell them?? Took it to a Kioti dealer in Missoula but after nearly two months am not having much luck there either. He talked the talk at the time but hasn't walked the walk. Engine in pieces sitting in an open yard with snow all over it. Can't even load it back on my trailer. Now what? Don't really have time to part it out and I don't want a $20K flower pot sitting on the ranch. Prolly buy a new tractor next spring but am not sure what to buy. JD not an option since many of their accessories have proprietary attachments and I have a bucket & forks that I can use on a new universal quick attach. Not many compact tractor dealers in my area but one thing is for sure, I'll never buy another Bobcat tractor.

All of the engine parts and replacement engines are all available for this tractor. This engine is still fully supported.

To the OP - We are all trying to understand your situation and possibly help. We can't undo what has already happened, but if you look at the second post above, the parts are available to fix your tractor. I am also wondering:

  • Did you just wake up one day with a dead cylinder, or did it overheat?
  • What were the symptoms that something was wrong?
  • Specifically, what is wrong with the engine (head gasket, piston, rings, valves, head, block, etc.)?
  • Now that you know parts are available, what are your plans to salvage this tractor?
  • Can you describe the tone of your conversations with the dealers (polite, terse, argumentative)?

Answers to these questions would help us better understand your story.

2 dealers each taking 2 months and being unable to fix it seems incomprehensible and then for the first one to charge $2000??. WHAT??..

The OP seems to have left the building. Hopefully to find somebody willing to actually fix his tractor.

Having spent a lot of time in Korea, I think the key is educated hard working labor at a reasonable cost.

Yep....

Many americans work harder at getting out of work than it would take to actually do it
