They just opened a Tractor Supply Company in town

Ive never been in one before, and i didnt even realize they opened one near me till i happened to drive by it yesterday.

didnt have time to stop inside to look arround. Not even sure what they carry.

what is everyones opinions on TSC stores?

Stores vary considerably in size. Some are better managed than others.

Good supply of Three Point Hitch fittings and PTO parts.

Good prices on nuts and bolts, sold by the pound, but only up to 5/8" size.

Accepts used petroleum products for disposal.

Has been a 'surprise' retail success. Stock in TSC sold on the NYSE.

When looking for something I compare TSC, Agri Supply, Rural King. We get our horse and goat chow from TSC

Tractor Supply open new doors in my location about month ago..
All in all not bad store,TS carries good products and comes in handy on Sunday afternoon if you need something quick....store hours.

I've bought lots of stuff from 5 different Tractor Supply stores, but most recently I buy birdseed at the one in Denton; haven't been able to beat their prices anywhere else on 40 & 50 lb. bags of mixed and/or sunflower seed.

I have 3 different ones all within a 20 minute drive. There both good and bad. The latest one to open closest to me is really convenient but also is pretty empty of customers most of the time, I seriously don't know how it will survive.

This is what I mostly buy from TSC

Tractor pins
Mower deck and engine belts
Towing parts/drawbars/balls/controllers
Tingley rubber overshoes
Schmidt work gloves with the reinforced finger tips

And like it was pointed out the bulk loose hardware bolts/nuts beats buying it anywhere else.

Decent inventory of lightweight landscape trailers at all the stores near me too.

I am after my boss to get one of their countyline tillers to replace the old sundowner we have beat to death. TBN reviews on those seem pretty positive. I have to stop today to buy bailer twine so I will look at them. The had one 6 footer in stock.

I don't rave about the store too much, it is a select inventory that doesn't really change. Pretty much once you know what they got you know what they got, but there are many nice and helpful people that work in them in our area. Much better than big box store employees.

The inner city one by the main greenhouse is always frequented by suburbanites slugging around buying bird feeders and seed all the time!

TBN is good overall but they peddle a lot of the same made in china crap the big box stores do. Some things you can buy in TSC you cannot buy in most Box Stores (engines etc). They are competitive on some stuff but some stuff they're much higher.

Definitely worth stopping and exploring. Just like any other store, they have some good stuff and some not so good stuff. I found that their countryline augers to be very, very good!!! They also have a large selection of big wrenches and sockets that have held up over the years. I find that some of their stuff is overpriced compared to some of the other choices I have here like Atwoods or going online. Welding rod is about $5 more compared to Atwoods. They also have some fun stuff that comes in during the holidays throughout the year that can be great for gifts, or just decorating the house.

One of the things I like about TSC is being able to buy nuts and bolts etc.by the pound...

Bag up what you want (by grade) and they weigh them at the checkout...for less than you pay for a few pieces in a bubble package at HD etc...you can get a big handful of hardware...

They opened one 5 minutes from my house just a couple months ago. I have bought from them several times, various items. What they don't have I can get from a Cal Ranch store that is 10 minutes from my house the other direction. I would suggest going in and looking around.
