Last week, i came across 3 very small lawn tractors when I was building a barn, they were stored at the place next door. now i have a history at this place, every time we have worked there, I bought something. This is the third time and i knew I wasnt gonna get away without buying something. He collects Allis Chalmers and Simplicity lawn tractors, so I always  when I look in the barns.:p He was showing me around and we saw these three lawn tractors sitting on a shelf above a bunch of attachments like MMM's and tillers and stuff. So I looked at them and decided the think about it (that means I am interested). So Monday we go over to finish the barn and he took them off the shelf so i could get a better look. I liked em.:confused2::laughing: And Tuesday morning, we went over and put them on the trailer. Cost me $20, I got three lawn tarctors, 6 spare tires, a 36" mower, a small tiller, a box of parts, and very little room left on the trailer. Then we went and picked up my tractor at my grandpa's place and it barely fit. :confused2::laughing: Got everything back home and unloaded the tractor, then the lawn tarctors behind the barn. Now i have a small "junk yard" but the Allis Chamers 610 or "Allison" as I call it managed to work it's way up next to the YM169D. :p:D They like eachother, yet the John deere wishes it was up front. Anyways, tonight I might go out with my yanmar and forks to pick up the lawn tractor with the tiller and haul it to the garage so i can remove the tiller, seat pan, crummy seat, and possibly the tranny. :p The one with the tiller is bent in the middle so it is my designated parts mower. since "Allison" made her way into the barn it is up first to get the engine running again. These things are small, you can see how big my Yanmar looks next to "Allison" but i wanted the small mowers so i could start with a small 8 & 10 hp gas motors and work my way up. besides, the grills on these lawn tractors kinda look like YM 1500s. :D

Wow, that's a terrific bargain! Great job! I think "Allison" will make a fine addition to your fleet with the mower and tiller. She looks to be solidly built. Does the tiller run off a belt driven by the tractor or a PTO shaft?

Yeah the 6 spare tires alone is worth quite a bit my wife's rider needed one on the rear this year and it was $65 from sears so good find I would have loved to have had a used one or 2 on hand!!!

I'm keeping the Yanmar busy. Last night I attempted to pick up the 5008 and the tiller with my forks. No go. So i took off the forks and used the bottom hook on my Imatch to pick up the rear corner of the tiller. Then I lifted it and was able to tow the 5008 to the garage. I then removed the tiller and hauled it to the barn with the Yanmar. Stored the 5008 in the garage last night and this morning I started again. Unbolted 3 bolts on the seat, the 4th was not coming off. The splitting maul changed that. Seat came off.:D:cool: Then i removed the fenders and unhooked the transmission linkage. Loosend up the bolts that hold the mid axle pivot in place and pushed it out into the front yard. Wrapped a chain around the transmission and hooked the top hook of the Imatch on the front bumper. Pulled it about 6", had to unhook the clutch/brake rod, got back on my Yanmar and pulled it completely apart. Then I got my forks again and picked up the front end of the 5008. Finally, I removed the tires from the transmission and the front half is in the garage waiting to be disassembled. I am having so much fun. :p

It is sweet. I would love to have a larger scale operation but my parents say it's big enough. It is a lot of fun working on this stuff, i have already learned a lot.
