Thin Ice!

I'm surprised that someone else hasn't mentioned this or maybe I'm just barking up the wrong tree. Even though you may not have any oil leaks or anything like that in the front axle or the engine. Should you consider doing a fluid change? I know when you put something under water, water has a way to find its way through about anything. Again, I may be way off base, but it was my first instinct. I would be curious to see what other folks say.

Yes, I did slightly get off topic now...

I agree... fluid(s) renewal... probably change the air filters as well... absolute miracle didn't suck H2O throught the intake and water lock the engine...! /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

(anybody have a Jetski and submerge it... knows exactly what happens!)

Good point on the oil...especially the front axle, which at least on mine is open to the air through a couple vent tubes.

An oil change would probably be well worth doing, just for insurance and peace of mind...

Personally, I would change both engine oil and front axle oil, just to be sure. Rather be safe than sorry as they say...

We've got a number of float planes up here in the Pacific Norwest. Maybe we can scavage some used pontoons as safety devices for you.
