ROFL! There's a guy who has never had a kitten in the house. If the TP rolls off the front, the kitten will climb it until the whole roll is in a pile on the floor. :laughing:

Good thread. Some of the comments make me nostalgic. Once upon a time, staff meetings meant a pot of black coffee, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and at least a dozen donuts. I still remember the agony of trying to make it through a 4 hour project meeting without a cigarette. Of course, I quit smoking 22 years ago, but if the doc ever tells me that I only have 6 months to live, the first thing I'm going to do is go back to smoking a pipe.

People on 21 speed bikes who ride around in low gear, peddling like h*ll, applying zero torque while bouncing up and down on the seat, and getting nowhere slowly. Shift already! And raise your seat for crying out loud! Your knees are over your hips, get some leverage! And maybe if you put some air in the tires the bike might actually roll.

When I see this, it's just another sad reminder on how stupid many people are. Can't even operate a bicycle! Or maybe the question(s) that make me sad are: Do these people not think? Or worse, do they think and this is the sorry conclusion they came to?

Tossing trash on the road or on someones land does tick me off.

The land behind us was subdivided and they cleared off the property lines so a truck could easily drive down the line for some reason. I walk one of the lines that intersects our property and someone drove a tractor with a FEL or a truck almost to our property and dumped a bunch of trash. When I got to the road in the newly formed subdivision some had tossed really heavy floor jacks that they had ruined. The things were too heavy to throw in the woods, so they just tossed them to the side of the road for someone else to clean up. $%^&*()_

For years my county did not require as much as a sticker to take things to the dump. They only required a sticker a few years ago to keep people in the surrounding counties from using our collection centers. I forgot the exact percentage but after the stickers were required, trash collection dropped around 20%. The garbage collection center for us is right near the only three grocery stores within 20 miles or so. Every one has to go to those stores...

The idiots that threw out this trash spent more time illegally dumping than it would have cost them to take their stuff to the collection center. Just lazy unthinking a holes.

We have had stuff dumped on our place by so called neighbors. It was just yard waste they could easily have left on their place to rot instead of ours. Though someone dumped used kitty litter on our place twice. Lazy %^&*()_

That pisses me off too. People are always throwing there trash and beer cans on our property. Scary thing is all the idiots driving around drinking.

Either this has gotten a LOT LOT worse in the last few years, or perhaps the county govts do not have the money to have it picked up. I suspect the former. Some places are just horrendous, people don't care, People just don't care

What gets me is people that wait, before the intersection and prior to the crosswalk in order to make a left hand turn. Driver training taught me to pull into the intersection and wait for traffic to open up.

Either this has gotten a LOT LOT worse in the last few years, or perhaps the county govts do not have the money to have it picked up. I suspect the former. Some places are just horrendous, people don't care, People just don't care

I suspect trash has decreased over the years. I don't remember, exactly but was looking at some 1950's photos the other day and the streets were full of litter. I couldn't remember it being that bad but multiple photos confirmed it. Maybe people littered in the city or town but not in the country?

Hit or miss depending on where I am.. Some intersections you just shouldn't pull out into and sit.
