Things to improve on the 790. still A1 tractor

If I could change anything on the 790 would make the seat go back farther. I'm 6'3" and fit, but it would be great with another couple of inches.

It's a great machine but what things would you like to see the 790 have that would be little cost to manufacture?

what do you guys think?

I'd like to see a folding ROPS offered as an option and a retrofit.

......along the same lines as what you guys stated above, I would love to see all JD tractors in the compact class have seats like on the 4210 to 4710 class. I own a 4100 and while the seat is not uncomfortable, it stinks compared to the bigger tractors with the suspension style seat.

I wonder if those seats can be retrofitted?

Thinking about the seat adjustment...with some thought, creativity and a few tools, I'd wager those seat rails (the parts the seat slides on) can be moved back a few inches. Next time I'm by my 790, I'll flip the seat up and see if that's possible. I have seen this done in sportscars when aftermarket seats are installed.

Let me know what you think Roy, I took a look and looks a little difficult and may need to make sub plate or modify the seat itself?

Adjustable lift arms! I would give an extra fifty for that!
