Days like that usually get me tweaked until I put them into perspective. Be grateful you don't live in Florida (or a number of other places around the world), that your family is safe, and that you've got food and a roof.
Hope tomorrow's a better day..
Well today my muscles are very sore from using the tree loppers too much yesterday. I did manage to collect up most of the branches and use the tractor to get them over to the burn pile. While "compacting" the branches with the FEL I managed to have a branch hit the quick connect collar and disconnect a hose. I had to jack up the FEL with a car jack to relieve the pressue and reconnect the hose. I finished building the pile and doused it with gas. A little too much. The flash scorched the hair off my right leg. Fortunately no burn. Then while tending the fire, the rains came. Hard and heavy. I was 100 yards from the house in the valley on the other side of the woods. . . mad dash up the hill and slipped and fell on my left wrist, the very same wrist that the surgeon wants to operate on because rehumatoid arthritis has destroyed much of the bone so that is now swollen. When the rains stopped my daughter wanted to go for a bike ride. . . I hopped on my bike. . . yup, FLAT tire.
I don't think I should have left the city, it is not safe for me out here.
