Hi,

I am new here and was wondering if anyone that has a Kubota BX2350 can give me there first hand information about how much the FEL for this model can lift.

I have 3acres (2 yard, 1 horses ring) and I am looking for a tractor that is small enough to handle the mowing but can also help with some of the chores (Moving manure, grading, lifting bales) around the barn.

The local dealer here in Manitoba, Canada gave me a price of $15,900.00 plus applicable taxes for the BX2350v ,23Hp diesel, 4WD,54" fine cut mower deck, loader, block heater and turf tires.

Is this a good price??

Thanks

You can lift about anything you can fit in the loader (of the manure, grading, lifting bale variety). My bucket is rated for lifting ~500#, but I have lifted a measured 640# in the recent past. Pretty amazing.

The price seems fair-to-just-a-little-tiny-bit-high given that is a little more than I paid for your setup (with a 60" deck instead of 54"), OEM bagger, and BoxBlade thrown in for good measure. But I bought mine about 18 months ago with a pretty nice rebate to clear the older models.

You may want to consider the B7610, also. A little more expensive, but it has double the ground clearance, more capacity all-around, as well as some other, more tractor-like gizmos.

But on my 2 acres (1 maintained), my BX is a god-send. Amazing machine. Haven't found a real limitation yet. Mows great. Power steering rules. 4WD is wonderful. All capacities are quite acceptable given the machine's size.

I recently completely removed/replaced my front flower bed and pulled ~8CY of marine clay out in the process. What would have been an IMPOSSIBLE task by hand took me about 18 hours working by myself. I can spread 15CY of mulch in 3 or 4 hours. AMAZING stuff, IMO.

The BX should be just about right for what you want to do. i have a BX22 and use it in stable and horse arena/round pen. They are rated for 500lb but most of the time you fill the bucket before overloading it. I like it because it is small enought to get into the stalls if I need to. i also have a home made drag that I drag the arena with. A B series will lift more and has a bigger bucket but I think it is too big for 3 ac. I shovel the stalls into a wheell barrow like most people but then just dump it right into the bucket of the BX and then use the bucket to spread it where ever I want to. I have a mile of private road so i just normally spread it on the road. Makes bermuda grow all along the road.

I'd say the BX would be a good match for your land, especially if there is no rough areas. A guy down the road from me did some pretty heavy duty land clearing with a JD sub-CUT. It was slow, but it got done. The ground clearance and added power of some B units are worth it if someone has the need. Why pay extra otherwise? Save your $$$ for the vet bills. I bought the B7510 because of ground clearance issues in the woods. It is a bit tall for mowing around apple trees tho...

I love my BX2350.. I use it on a 3/4 acre lot, and it isn't too big for it..

I use the loader all the time... just love it..

Also, don't buy the 54", buy the 60" Much easier to trim around things since you have more of the deck sticking out past the wheels..

I too was going to buy the 54" and the members here convinced me otherwise and I don't regret it.

Good luck...

We currenty have 2 properties. 1 is 1.25 acres, the other is 3 acres. My BX1500 handles it all very well. So I would think a BX2350 would be great!. I am kind of thinking of upgrading to a B7800 for some of the pending landscaping, but for mowing, the BX1500 seems fine.

Thats seems like a very good Canadian price! Last year I was quoted $18500.00 with the 60"MMM. Ended up buying a used one 2006 with 17hrs for $11000.00 US. Just love it...............Good Luck:)

I have a BX2350 with 60" MMM to manage my three acres. I was talked out of the 54" by the dealer, and I'm glad he did. You can't cut while turning a circle and expect anything less than the 60" to track outside your tires, i.e. if you're trying to trim up against a tight circle, your tires will be running over what ever it is that you're trying to trim up to.

Others have thrown in the B as another one to consider, with the proper warning that it doesn't mow under low branches. I went with the BX for that reason, as well as the fact that I have a hilly property. The lower CG on the BX is safer for this type of land, or, at least it feels safer(?)

Just take a look at the list of factory fixes on this forum so that you're not surprised. All tractors have issues; these haven't been deal breakers in my opinion; I'd buy another one.

You won't be disappointed in the bucket. The only thing you'll sometimes wish is that it was bigger... particularly when moving loose hay, but it will lift quite a load in regard to weight. I regularly turn a mulch pile (hay, chicken shavings) that's got to be up to 8 feet high. I can sometimes push it up to 10' high (the BX will climb right up that pile!) It's a slow-go with little bucket, but it gets it done.

It's a good mower too. You'll be glad you bought it.
