and here is my stupid question of the day. I own a 2002 Chevy 2500HD Ext.-Cab Standard Bed truck, looking at the dimensions for the worksite RTV I don't think it will fit in the bed of the truck. Will any of you RTV owners out there verify this information for me? The following are my assumptions based on the specs from Kubota.com

1) I think the RTV is too long to fit in the bed even with the tailgate down

2) While the width looks iffy on paper, You might could fit the width of the RTV if one were to drive over the wheel wells and there is enough ground clearance to prevent high centering on the wells

Any enlightenment on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for entertaining my silly questions.

When I first got my RTV I hauled it with a 5x10 trailer. The tires rubbed the side rails and there wasn't any room to spare if it was pulled all the way to the front. I opted for a 6x12 trailer and it works perfect. You'll have to do some measuring but I'd be surprised if it would fit in a truck bed.

Chris,

I haven't tried putting it in the truck. Like Tact said, I really don't think it would fit.

Let us know if you get one.

Brian

EDIT - Just for the heck of it, I pulled up the specs for size on your L3130 and compared to the RTV.

Length:
L3130 - 119"
RTV 117"

Width:
L3130 - 59.8"
RTV - 59.8"

So, it's the same width and 2" shorter than your tractor. Although the tractor is obviously heavier, would it fit in your truck?

My salesman said he put it in the back of his chevy dually just for kicks.

i tried it on a full size long bed f150 and it bent my tail gate bad so i pulled it back i hauled a mule 3010 on it fine .but the weight of the rtv is to much for a standard tailgate to handle i have a 5x10 pull trailer and it fits perfect about inch and a half inch on both side you just have to line it up a little closer than you would a 6 foot wide trailer i prefure a 5 foot over a 6 foot wide trailer because it easier to pull. the 6 foot hang over a foot wider than my ranger

Brian,

Thanks for the reference info with my 3130. That really helps me "see" it better in my mind and make me think that (pardon the Texas slang) it might fit if I grease it like a hog, but it ain't going to be easy.
