Buying Advice Thinking of a Kubota... why choose Kioti?

Yea, I would not say we have chronic complaints about the A/C with PA weather.

I do think I recall though seeing some temperature difference figures that did not strike me as being huge.

Neil...

You are still here and I'm back. You are still the best far as I'm concerned.

I remember my 5030 was weak in the ac department even though it was full of 134 (I checked it) and the problem was the condenser was too far from the negative pressure zone created by radiator fan. I lined the airflow path with rubber belting (conveniently attached) to the tube frame that carries the condensor. oil cooler and assorted stuff and that helped 100%.

Nothing worse than cooking in a glass enclosed roaster.....

I don't cook well, I stink when I sweat. My coon hound don't mind but everyone else in the house does.:D

The M9 and the 105 exhibit the eame tendency though not as pronounced. They both have larger cooling fans and consequently more air flow. I installed a 9" electric radiator cooling fan behind each respective condenser (I think it's a condenser or is it an evaporator?)...,the one in the engine bay in any case, PULLING, not pushing the air, so the air is still going through the radiator pre filter (net). I manually switch the 105 and the M9 has the fan wired into the ac clutch circuit so when the clutch is hot, the fan runs. I wanted to try both to ascertain the best scenario and both work fine.

My 9 is the old style overhead only ac and the 105 is the newer style lower vent. Interestingly, both provide the same comfort level in my opinion. The blower motor on the old style is stronger and moves more cool air. I found that interesting.

I got a 9" from Flea Bay for 20 bucks. It's a cheap fix and it works, in lieu of ducting the airflow that is.

I'd like to see a reversable cooling fan made available. That would eliminate the frequent hood lifts and net cleaning or at least mitigate it a bit. I have a chaff problem. I've taken to carrying a porta-tank in the bailer and a whip hose to blow off the net. Both tractors are a PITA to pull the net in the field.

I bought Kioti because it's what Jon Parks Tractor sells. He's a quality dealer with years of repair history & stands behind what he sells, new or used. I'm very satisfied with my DK45S. While I have no doubts about Kubota quality MB Tractor is not a company I care to do business with. I've known Dick Batchelder to be a quality businessman long before be associated with Kioti & would buy from him as well. MikeD74T

I read all the brand crap on here and chuckle.

With me, it'a all about service and parts after the sale and the longevity of the local dealers. I have 2 dealers within 30 miles that do house calls, have loaners and have been established for over 40 years and are full line Kubota.

They all do the same thing, no matter what color the hood is, especially in ag tractors.

It distills down to the above plus what features/accessories you want and what pricing you can dicker to.

1. Find a dealer you're comfortable with .. whichever brand

2. Buy the most weight and horsepower you can afford (This will save trading up later)

3. Let 'er rip!

What I find interesting is on TBN site when you go to look up tractors Kubota is first name brand listed, then JD.
There had to be some brainstorming behind that ! :D
An don't go saying cause Bota's break down more and people would find it easier on this site.
BTW:I know Kioti makes one heck of a tractor. and they also paint-em white and some yellow.

The reason why it's that way is back in the beginning (I was here then or just after the beginning), Kubota tractors were what the site was about. Kioti, Mahindra and the grey tractors didn't exist. You had Kubota, JD, NH, IH, Massey and Ford.

I've just been on an extended (and self imposed vacation for the last 6 years).:D

Candidly, I have to say that all this Kioti discourse has led me to look at them. I like their 4 wheeler and I may buy one for the farm. I want to price one against a Kubota RTV. I have a feeling that it's a more competitively priced machine.

In the tractor arena, Kioti don't build anything with the gonads at the PTO shaft I need.

Yes.... and no. I don't do that. I let the wife's nags do the mowing.:D

Less fuel used per hour plus they fertilize as they go.....

I think you are poking me......
