Been thinking of selling my 2012 CT230 with 220hrs and getting a XR4140HC, would like the cab to get a front snowblower but not sure on tranny yet, like hydro like my bobcat but $1500 more and some power loss but really have a hard time giving up hydro, wife would use it too. Thoughts? Shuttle for 27k or 28.5k for hydro?

The 2.4 PTO HP difference between the gear and hydro will not be noticable and you are still gaining 10HP (both engine and PTO) over the CT230. You should also be able to get a good buck for the low hour CT230. Everytime I go out in this cold weather to plow snow I'm glad for my cab.

Well we made the plunge and ordered a XR4140HC, I guess about 2 weeks before it comes In.
This tractor has the quick release bucket, will attachments from my bobcat ct230 work on it?, it looks so much bigger but wheelbase is 73" and ct230 is 66" and like 5" wider.

All your Cat 1 attachments will work as well as any QA attachments on the front. Only problem may be if they are wide enough to cover your tracks. For a 3 pt rake I use a 7'er. Same for my Lorenz 7' double auger snowblower. Most other attachments are 6'.

Post some pics when you get it.

Mostly now am hoping my QA forks work, use that to unload a ton on pellets from PU or trailer, my ct230 can't lift a ton so I unload about a 1/3 and then it's just so it moves it. The cab will be awesome as long as it doesn't fog much. Spent about 3.5 hrs yesterday moving banks back on our driveway as it is getting narrow and worst part is driveway has about a 1" of ice under snow so no traction and banks are about 4' high, I won't pick up the new front snowblower until next fall.

One thing is I never seen a LS front blower in person, are they comparable to name brands? Has anyone used one? Would be nice to have a factory blower for fitting and looks

Chances are good that they use RAD or some other OEM like Kubota, Massey, Deere, etc do.

One or more members have the front blower and claim it works well and is well built. I haven't seen one and couldn't afford it at time I bought mine. Mid PTO option wasn't cheap either. In fact, I believe there is a member selling his front blower that fits my model but he's too far away. If the forks are standard SSQA they will fit.

There is a LS dealer near work, if I have time and am bored on a lunch break, I will swing over that way and look at their snowblowers.

To help with the windows fogging, Heat up your cab with the vent on the recirc position, this will heat quicker. After that put the vent on the outside air, your body and breathing produces moisture and you don't want to recirc that. If it is too bad, keep your heat on but put your AC on. Of course the angle of your vents blowing makes a big difference.
