BTW, if you're married, don't let the wife know that you now find pleasure in mowing and all the other tasks you'll have for it. That can be an easy mistake to make when you get such an excellent machine.

Let her think it's still a chore but you willingly run out to use it just because you love her so, and want to make her happy.

She'll likely not be fooled though.

Congratulations!! You did good.:thumbsup: I to would not do any fixing/have fixed as long as the mid pto works for mowing and the rear pto works. I can't think,myself, when I would have ever used them both at the same time in the 9 years I've owned BXs. I've used rear tiller, rear finish mower, rotary mower and a Post hole digger requiring the rear pto work and I've used the mid pto running the mid mount mowing deck alot. I've never had any need or desire to run them both at the same time.

To keep from bringing a tractor up from another farm, I once put my rotary cutter on and backed through some heavy stuff to finish mow with the deck and that was the only time I ever used both and like John can't imagine ever needing to use both again.

I do use mine in "both mode" only when mowing. I really like to bag the grass clippings as I mow and the grass catcher attachment uses the rear PTO to drive the suction fan on the catcher. Other than than, I've never found a use for using both at once either.

On another thread I saw where someone mows and uses a 3pt spreader at the same time, but (for a number of reasons) I really can't see where that would be a good idea.
