Thank you for the detailed response. Since I have a L4600 ROPS with a hydrostat, I find myself going for that tractor for everything except mowing. Grading, forks, grapple, rake and spreader. The hydro is just so much easier to change speeds. In the M5, coming up to a turn or going from flat to downhill and then turn, I'm either going too fast or too slow. I will agree on the fuel. I only burn 1.5gal hour running a batwing @1500 in ePTO.
My property was all overgrown field and I kept cutting and now its all grass. This all stated because I think I would get more use out of a 14' finish mower. Right now I'm using the batwing brush cutter to mow grass once per week. All told its about 12 acres that I mow once per week. The brush cutter does an OK job. Biggest issue is the grass stands back up that is pushed down by the tires. I can get an L6060 with a finish mower for an even trade for my M5 with my cutter. It's about a $10k hit over two years.
Maybe I'll change my mind. Who knows.
