Mowing Thinking of trading/selling kubota mid mount mower for rear finish

So I stopped into my local dealer at lunch today to ask about mowers. They aren't interested in taking my mmm in trade - guy said nobody wants a used mower deck when buying a new tractor. I can see his point. But, he would be happy to sell me a new land pride 6ft rfm for $2895. Looks like the dealer option is off the table.

I might try posting for an even trade and see what happens. If I don't get an interested person, maybe take pictures and sell it outright. I'd have to be quick with a turn-around because it's my only means to mow right now. My little 46" tractor is out of order at the moment. Thanks for all the advice so far.

The problem with selling the MMM for your kubota is finding someone with a kubota it fits and somebody that wants it . A 3 point mower goes from kubota to deere to new holland . The MMM may be a more expensive mower , but the buyers are fewer

You're near me. Not sure what your nearest dealer is but you might want to call around to all of the dealers in driving distance to see if they have any used B3200s on the lot. They would be the ones that would likely make the trade.

I looked on Empire's site, they don't show anything. Best Line does not show a single used Kubota on their site (I doubt that).

A used one for sale around Scranton. Might want to give them a call. Might be worth the drive if they'd do it.

H*ll I would be HAPPY to sell you a $1700 - $1800 RFM for $2895 + tax as well...
Run from this dealership/Stealership ... Post the thing up on Crails' list for a decent price or trade, I have seen two or three MMMs get posted and sold in the last year....
H*ll you may even find your new decently priced RFM on CL as well.
Advertising on this forum hits a limited crowd as well, you need to get it posted in several locations to get it viewed enough to find the right person who is looking for it.
Be willing to throw it on a trailer and deliver it say 25 miles as well, lots of folks can't transport stuff like that very easily...
Decent price willing to deliver diversify your advertisements.... it will sell....

You went to the wrong dealer first or maybe not. Now you know the extreme wrong one to try and deal with which may make you more willing to deal when you come across the right buy/sell/trade and feel you did good.
Start pricing available RFMs near you so you'll be ready to go get it when you sell yours if you go that route.
Here is a great site and I love watching their movies and they deliver for free at certain distance and charge farther away. Woods, Landpride and sure many other good brands available that will fit any brand tractor as someone has already mentioned. Everything Attachments | Skid Steer Attachments, Tractor Attachments, 3 Point Hitch Attachments, and Farm Tractor Implements.
Don'y get discouraged because you bit the first apple and it was full of worms.

At least the dealer was honest in stating he did not want your mm mower in on trade. I won't comment on the price he quoted you. It is going to be difficult finding someone needing a mm mower. You may try the typical Craigslist listings. You will probably not get what the mower is actually worth but at least it is an option. I would try a couple more dealers first. Good luck.
