Seems to me that most of the troubles that affect the gas powered pt's are due to heat issues. My thinking is that if these machines had flat fenders over the rear wheels like the old jeeps, then these "platforms" could be used to hold the battery and a tool box on one side and the gas tank on the other. I would remove or modify the hood so that the exhaust could be directed up and to the rear. The cooling fan would also have to be dealt with but why not direct the heat under the operator seat in the winter. With these mods most of the normal maintenance would be so much easier as well. I'm going to proceed this winter any thoughts?
