Thanks for all the responses. I do have a fel, but using those controls are out as I use that to move snow as much as the blower. I’m familiar with the electric valves, just prefer ol fasioned manual spool valves. To much electrickery on tractors nowadays…
Diverting the pb circuit is an idea, but I think I’d need a diverter valve, control valve, (open center 3 position spool?) and related hoses etc. Might be the same $$ as a third kit…
KennyD, that looks interesting if I had more time to mess with it, but I prefer a plug and play option for now. The JD kit you linked I think is the same one my dealer quoted at $480. I’ll probably end up that route out of simplicity, I just hoped someone else was making a comparable kit for a more reasonable price.

Ovrszd, I think I misunderstood your post about the fel curl circuit. You’re saying divert before the control so that when diverted the curl function on the joystick would run the rotator?

Yes. That's how many 3rd function kits work. You still use the FEL control lever. But now one function of the lever does two tasks. Push the button on the lever and movement causes your rotator to function. Release the button on the lever and movement causes the bucket to curl. If you locate the diverter at the front of the FEL this additional function could be used for a Grapple for example.

KennyD, I did a little digging today and confirmed your info, there’s an unused spool on the fel valve block, just need the valve handle and lines run to the rear. $380 at the local jd store. Seems way overpriced, but unless I get ambitious and fab this stuff, it’s probably the route I’ll take.
Just picked up the 64” frontier blower today. Pretty impressive compared to my 25 year old Woods…

$380 for an OEM 3rd SCV kit on a ~20 year old tractor is good deal IMHO.

The oem setup seems like your best option and wasnt aware deere had the spool already there....they just left out the handle and hoses.

Refrain from using the backhoe hoses for anything other than the backhoe. Its is indeed a power beyond feed TO the backhoe...But its not a true return line. Rather than return line is ALSO a power beyond as it continues on to feed the 3PH. So adding a valve on those two hoses, to do so properly would require a PB capable valve as well as a third hose added for a tank return.

They omit this on a backhoe loop....since you cannot use the 3PH and backhoe at the same time so there is little to no risk of blowing a valve.

However....those two hoses to control any other valve that isnt a PB valve with 3-hoses going to it....AND using the 3PH while it is plumbed is a recipe for disaster.

IF you want to add a set of rear remotes to your tractor....the PB loop gets you TWO of the THREE hoses you need. All you would need is a PB capable valve...add the tank line....and your couplers. Probably have the same amount of money in that as the 3rd function off the loader. So you have to decide whether having rear remotes or a 3rd function is more important. Usually the remotes are for anything in the rear....like your blower chute, or a hydraulic toplink, or an angle cylinder rear blade. The 3rd function is for stuff up front like a grapple, or 4n1 bucket, etc. But thats not saying with long hoses you cannot rotate the cute off the 3rd
