How does one remove that? Like anything else, a quick swap turned into a $100, one week wait.

Thanks.

Once you pull the plastic nut out, the coil will simply slide out. No need for any wrenches.

It may be a bit stuck on the spool over time so you may need to pry with a flat screw driver or something similar.

I've done all I can to remove that spool. Since I already snapped to pins, I went deeper. I've put two notches into the plastic and used a gear puller to remove it. Won't budge at all. I'm actually tearing the plastic up and off.

Welp. Life of a rust belt mechanic,

Sounds like either the coil melted to the tube or excess pressure inside the tube caused it to swell. If either one of these happened it can be real challenging to get the coils off.

The plug that connects to the unit from the rocker switch had a wire corrode off. While plowing the driveway, I angled the plow, and it pitched on way and got stuck "on". At the time, I thought the rocker switch on the joystick went bad and was stuck. Took a hot minute with the leatherman to crack it open and unplug the leads. I wonder if being held like that for about a minute did that?

I just attributed it to rust. /shrug

Possible got hot that quick. Most tube assemblies that I have seen are stainless so should be limited rust but not sure what material is on that WR long valve.
