Third Set of Rear Hydraulics???

/ Third Set of Rear Hydraulics??? #11
My Branson has three sets of remotes. The factory set (which was only $600 or so) is two remotes and I had the dealer add a third. I planned to have the two factory remotes hooked up to top and tilt most of the time and the third was for a side shift flail. I have not got the flail yet but I ran lines to the loader and use it to operate a grapple. The valve is on the fender and I moved the lever so its pointing forwards which puts it close to the loader valve. Eventually I'll build a 3rd function for the grapple.

4 hydraulic valves mounted on the fender - less than $1k for all parts, valves, hoses, fittings, etc. from Surplus Center and Discount Hoses.

So for an utter n00b to tractors and hydraulics, feeding that block of valves, it's just a single feed like a manifold that serves all the valves? i.e. a single hydraulic feed from up front to the gang of valves?

I am also a noobie when it comes to hydraulics, but learned a lot putting on my remotes. A single line from the pump or "power beyond" of an upstream valve (usually the loader valve) feeds an internal manifold to route fluid to all of the individual valve spools and out to the work cylinders. The fluid returning from the other side of the work cylinders, also flows through an internal manifold and back to the sump. If the valve set is upstream of another fluid use (usually your 3-PH is the last user), then a third hose ("power beyond") sends fluid there.

I still don't have a clue how to read those hydraulic circuit diagrams though! :confused3:

Awesome, thanks, makes sense.
